Re: The Next Step . . .

I also posted this on the KEGger's Facebook page . . . Something else that has been sparked by listening to Wayne Jacobsen as well as some of the insights from Scripture that Jim Durkin has shared. What ever the "next step" is, the best thing to do is to lean into Jesus. If Jesus says &q...

The Next Step . . .

Emil e-mailed to all: Hey, All! Some of you are going to be interested (and involved) in a Next Step for KEG -- beginning a local-based, large gathering of Equippers. As always, not a church-plant but a congregational-plant -- an "Equippers Assembly" or something similar. We're becomi...

Re: RDTW Assignment #4 parsed part 1

Zounds! I don't like the way the blue turned out on my pc. So I will use this shade of blue Joh 15:1-3 ESV (1) " I am the true vine , and my Father is the vinedresser . (2) Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, ...

RDTW Assignment #4 parts 8&9

Thought I would put my work on assignment #4 from RDTW here for critique and (hopefully) as inspiration for others to see and "Rhema-nate" on what other things could be observed. Assingment 4.8: Choose 6 or more verses & write their text references in your journal. For each verse choo...

Re: Our Victory

Emil said: But think about these plagues in Egypt... Why did flies cover the land or the river Nile turn to blood? It's because each plague was directed at one of the many demon gods of Egypt -- Could you please point me in the direction of info on that point? I wish to study that further. Thank...

Re: God's weapon

As a tangent to this thread, here are 3 (in both the ASV and ISV) cross refs. as regards "soul" & "spirit". There are probably more, but these will suffice. Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ: that, whether I come and see you or be absent, I may h...

Re: Take me to your leader!!!

Perhaps "Reformational Redefinition" would have been a better term to use. Not in the sense of redefining reformation, but in the sense of a reformation (perhaps, even better, a transformation) in the way we have defined the terms "Leadership", "5 Fold", "Apostle, ...

Re: Take me to your leader!!!

Most Excellent! Definitions are important. Catalog this one as a sub-group of KE Core points; titled "Reformation Redefinition" . . .
As for leaders . . .

"Authentic Relationships" by Wayne & Clay Jacobsen.
I downloaded this from another forum I belong to http://www.ransomedheart.net/group/outsidethebox.
Very relevant to our journey. It is in MS-Word format.

Things that make you go "Hhhhmmmm . . ."

Today's Rhemanation (sort of like spiritual rumination . . .) Whilst listening to NPR this morning on my way to a service call, of course all the chatter was abut the up-coming inauguration. One of the things they touched upon was of Pastor Rick Warren's "commencement" prayer. Of all the l...

Re: Want input on the K-T Minsters' Equipping Center

purelyshell asked: So forgive my lack of memory but did we ever do this? Well, we sort have done this in a round-about way in our KEG get-togethers, but not in a direct, focused way. As an off-shoot of this thread, I started a new one about KEG Kore Points, which is a synopsis of the things we ha...

Re: KE Core Points

I've been "rhuminating" (using the Rhema Word to chew on in a meditative way . . .) about expectations, Kore things and "statements of faith" (in the latter there being a plethora of web-sites out there with their obligatory links to "statements of faith" . . .) I've s...

Re: Working out your salvation

Ah! We must be both hearing the whisperings of Holy Spirit on this, as I have been studying in Philippians myself, and I have thought about this very passage. I was having a conversation with someone about a year ago and they used that passage for themselves ("I'm just trying to work out my sa...

Re: ?Born Again Christian vs Christian ?

The early followers of Jesus Christ were not called people of “the experience,” or the people of “right doctrine,” or the people of “moral values,” or even the people of “the church.” They were called the people of “the Way.” They were known for the way they lived, not only for what they believed ...

Re: I Want a Messed-Up Church...

And here's one from Martin Scott . . . There is a crisis in the Western church. But I also believe that we are in the beginnings of something that will make a similar level of impact that the reformation made in its time. This does not mean everything will be tidy, and it certainly means that only ...

Re: Where is your grain field?

So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your cultu...

Re: Be an overcomer

Good word of encouragement. And the Good News is that it is in Him (and because of Him) that we overcome. We fight not alone . . . for we are in Him and He is in us.
